What is Windows Vista?


Windows Vista is a new operating system from Microsoft. It is a major change for Microsoft and has some key improvements from Windows XP such as security, performance and user experience.

The only component affected by Windows Vista is the Desktop Manager.

RIM are releasing a Service Pack for the Desktop Manager to support Vista. This will be available Feb 2007.

ActiveSync has been replaced by Windows Mobile Device Center within Vista.

This is available as a free download through Windows Update or direct from here.

The only component affected by Windows Vista is the Desktop re-director (DAC).

An update for the DAC will be available shortly.
